When we arrived at the environment minister of Senegal Haïdar El Ali’s tree nursery, in Diakène Oulof, to get trees for our planting project in Cachouane, a flock of children, who had been told about what we were doing, descended on us and began carrying seedlings.

Before I realised what was happening, they had filled the pickup!
